Hotel information
If you’re looking for a secluded luxury getaway in a place where sunny days never seem to end, the Fairmont Maldives, Sirru Fen Fushi is precisely what you need!
The resort is set on the gorgeous, secluded Shaviyani Atoll, reached from Male by seaplane. Once you arrive at the resort's jetty, you’re welcomed by a grand entrance, starting your holiday off with flair. There are no other resorts nearby, meaning you get exclusive access to the island. There are 120 villas on the island; the private water villas of the luxury resort are laid out above the water and make for a spectacular stay.
Take in the beauty of the Indian Ocean at the hotel's five restaurants and bar. From the main dining area, designed with nautical elegance that serves meals throughout the day, to the Kata, a pan-Asian restaurant boasting some of the most magnificent landscape views, you'll have plenty to choose from.
Spend your days taking gentle bike rides around the island or relaxing at your villa pool. If you want to spend some time out and about, you can also visit the stunning 200m long infinity pool that divides the resort. Start your morning with some sunrise yoga, the picture-perfect way to ease into your day.
Another fantastic option is Fairmont Spa, set alongside the 200m infinity pool; this retreat has exits that lead straight out on the beach. The spa team will help you relax with an array of treatments. The treatment rooms at Fairmont Spa are for singles or couples, and all have a private garden and outdoor bath attached to help you get closer to nature and enjoy the sounds of the sea.
If you like to be a little more adventurous, the hotel is situated next to a 9km long house reef – a fantastic spot for diving to visit the resident turtles and other marine fauna that live on and around the reef. There are opportunities for water sports, including paddleboarding, snorkelling and of course, swimming in the crystal-clear waters that lap up against the shore.
Whilst staying at the resort, you can even take part in cooking and art classes with your kids. These are great options to flex your creative muscle as a family.
Room Options
The accommodation at Fairmont Maldives, Sirru Fen Fushi is second to none, with beautiful views from every villa and complimentary access to wi-fi, water exploration equipment and host services; you’ll never be at a loss for something to do. Each room is tastefully decorated with all the mod cons you would expect from a five-star resort. The team at Fairmont Maldives will welcome you with a smile and help with whatever you might need.

Azure
A stunning seafood restaurant with a grand entrance. Be sure to try the local lobsters and fish on show at the central cooking station; pick your food, decide how it’s cooked, and your chef will bring it right to the table.
Raha Market
Raha Market is a 10-minute stroll to the water villas, serving buffet breakfasts, lunch and themed dinners. This is the main restaurant on the island. Breakfasts have live cooking stations, Western, Asian, and Maldivian breakfasts - even a cheeky prosecco for a bubbly breakfast.
Kata
Kata is a pan-Asian restaurant with Japanese influences that serves the freshest sushi and sashimi. The restaurant comprises a terrace for dinner under the stars and a rooftop bar giving you exceptional views across the ocean.
Activities & Entertainment
Being on a small island in the middle of the Indian Ocean means that you’ll have ample opportunity to spend time in the water. The incredible views of the beach and the ocean are astounding from the resort or the water.
If you fancy getting your hair wet, step into the ocean and visit the house reef. If you’re staying in one of the water villas, then this is as easy as grabbing your snorkel gear and heading down the ladder into the warm water.
The hotel offers a host of water sports equipment that you can use out on the water or head out to the beach and enjoy lazing about in the surf.
Ready yourself for the gentle warm waves, the soft sandy beaches, and incredible trips under the water.
Conservation
Conservation efforts in places like the Maldives are so vital to the wellbeing of the oceans, and the Fairmont Maldives understands the importance of taking part in sustainability initiatives and blending art, entertainment, and sustainability into one.
In their efforts to protect the diverse eco-biology, Fairmont Maldives, Sirru Fen Fushi is home to the Coralarium, designed by Jason Decaires Taylor and the world's first and only underwater coral regeneration project art installation. The Coralarium offers a sanctuary for marine life, including fish, crustaceans and more ocean creatures, providing you with a new experience to engage with a blend of art and nature.
As well as the beautiful Coralarium, the resort takes part in other initiatives that protect marine wildlife, including the manta ray trust and turtle ranger programme – these are important as these creatures are susceptible to climate change, the impact of which is devastating.
To lessen the burden that the resort has on the Maldivian landscape, the hotel is becoming more energy efficient using solar technologies and has launched the Sustainability Lab - the first of its kind in the archipelago. The lab will fully recycle glass and aluminium and turn plastic waste into bespoke souvenirs and unique products. They also host beach and reef clean up events around the resort and local islands, and educate guests on sustainable practices.
