Activities & Entertainment
Activities
Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa prides itself on affording guests a plethora of unique experiences. The Surf School is a particular highlight and is run by professional surfers from Tropicsurf of Noosa, Australia. The pristine lagoon is the ideal spot to learn the basics, and the area sees some of the most consistent and warmest swells in the world. Courses are available for guests aged six and older, and there’s a lovely Surf Shack for some post-surf relaxation.
Be sure to check out the Marine Discovery Centre, which features 3D films and 2D presentations on turtle, coral reef, shark and dolphin conservation. The centre is also the headquarters of the Maldivian Sea Turtle Conservation Program, and the starting point for the Shark and Marine Life Safari, as well as the Coral Reefscaping and Dolphin Watching activities.
The Robinson Crusoe Adventure by seaplane is also brilliant fun. Spend the day on a deserted tropical island, surrounded by palm trees and the stunning Indian Ocean. Chefs prepare a barbecue for you as you do whatever you please on your private slice of paradise. For more seaplane excitement, take part in the Seaplane Photo Flight, a unique, picture-perfect way of viewing the Maldives.
If none of that tickles your fancy, then there’s plenty more to keep you occupied – cooking classes, jogging, gym, yoga, tennis, diving and snorkelling, to name but a few. The freshwater pool is truly beautiful, with its infinity edge merging into the turquoise horizon. There’s also a Serenity Pool with an over-sea whirlpool and a children’s pool.
Parents can rest assured that children will have the time of their lives too. The Kuda Mas kids’ club is great, offering activities such as cooking classes, mini-spa days and yoga discovery classes for younger guests at the resort.
Entertainment
Even the most discerning of palates will leave Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa satisfied, thanks to the many dining options on offer. Savour authentic Indian delicacies at Baraabaru, where a sensational deck above the water or a private dining gazebo await you. The Reef Club is the place to go if you fancy some classic Italian cuisine – dine with your feet in the sand or under a beautiful thatched pavilion. Naturally, seafood plays a big part in many of the menus at the resort – be sure to try the barbecued specialities at the Kandu Grill. If the restaurants aren’t tempting enough for you, then the range of dining experiences – from gorgeous beach barbecues to private gazebos resting on the water – is sure to keep you happy.
The Poolside Bar is a popular spot during the day – swim up for a delicious tropical drink or light snack. Evenings, on the other hand, are spent at the Sunset Lounge, an open-air pavilion serving creative cocktails, spectacular sunsets and melodic music. Saturday night is Shisha Night in the Sunset Lounge. You’ll discover a large selection of Turkish specialities, from flavoured shisha pipes to baklava and Turkish coffee.
