Each Fairmont hotel embody three main efforts to preserve the ecosystem, including sustainable design and construction, as well as support and preserve biodiversity and procuring their purchasing process.

Their reduction of greenhouse gas emissions is analysed closely by all employees of each hotel, and focus on diverting waste from landfills and recycling. Instead, they opt for selling used cooking oil and grease to be turned into biodiesel.
