Itinerary

Depart the UK on your flight to Cairns, in Queensland’s tropical north. Our partner airlines offer several stopover opportunities on your route to Australia including Hong Kong and Singapore.

Daintree National Park

Transfer to Silky Oaks Lodge along the scenic Captain Cook Highway flanked with tropical rainforest on one side and azure coral sea the other. Settle in to your private treehouse and take in the sounds of the tropical rainforest while relaxing in your terrace hammock. Visit the healing waters spa for a revitalising treatment or catch the complimentary shuttle to Port Douglas and peruse the shops and galleries of Macrossan Street.

Daintree National Park

Enjoy the tropical surroundings at Silky Oaks Lodge or take off on a mountain bike to Mosman Gorge. Snorkel in the lodge’s billabong, home to freshwater turtles and Jungle Perch or take a kayak out on the river; you might be lucky enough to spot the resident platypus. Guided walks in to the Daintree National Park and yoga classes in a rainforest setting are complimentary activities at Silky Oaks Lodge.

Daintree National Park

Take an exhilarating helicopter flight over the coral-studded sea, land on Vlassof Cay, a pristine sand island on the Vlassof Reef in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy two hours of absolute seclusion on the pure white sand and swim straight off the beach to explore the reef and mysteries of the underwater world. Enjoy a gourmet picnic before your flight back over the reef to Cairns.

Daintree National Park
Embark on an 8 hour tour of the Daintree. Travel to the Daintree River for your 2 hour exclusive wildlife cruise full of opportunities to observe and photograph some of the most primitive forms of animal and plant life in the world. Enjoy lunch at the Daintree Tea House where you are surrounded by ancient rainforest with continuous sounds of birds and nature. Your tour continues to Mossman Gorge with its multiple trails for your guide to share and interpret for you. There is time to enjoy a swim in the incredible freshwater gorge before you return to your accommodation.
Hamilton Island, Queensland

Transfer to Cairns for your flight to Hamilton Island in the Whitsunday Islands where you will stay at the exclusive qualia resort. Sit back, relax and unwind on your private sundeck under the shade of eucalypts and soak up the garden or water views. Enjoy a complimentary gourmet dinner at qualia’s Long Pavilion or Pebble Beach Restaurant.

No trip to the Whitsundays would be complete without visiting the spectacular Whitehaven Beach. Fly by helicopter and take in the breath-taking aerial views of the Whitsundays and fringing reefs before landing on the purest white sands of Whitehaven Beach. Soak up the sun, snorkel or swim at the beach and enjoy a fresh fruit platter and glass of sparkling wine before your scenic flight back to Hamilton Island.

Play on the water on the resort’s complimentary non-motorised watercraft, including paddle boards, sea kayaks and Hobie-cats. A final day to be pampered at qualia, Hamilton Island. Spend the day soaking up the sun by the pool or at the beach or go out on one of qualia’s optional tours. Choose from snorkel safaris around Hayman Island and Manta Ray Bay, charter a luxury motor yacht for the day or take a helicopter flight to Reefworld on the outer barrier reef for snorkelling and coral viewing.

Fly to Sydney where you will stay at the city’s premier harbourfront hotel, Park Hyatt Sydney. Once you have settled into your City Harbour View Room, head to the rooftop pool and sundeck for majestic views of the harbour and Sydney Opera House. Wander through the laneways of the historic neighbourhood of The Rocks and the open-air Rocks Markets.

Explore Sydney’s sensational harbourfront and the iconic landmarks of Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Stroll through Sydney’s Royal Botanic Garden to Mrs Macquarie’s Chair for awe-inspiring harbour views.

Take a private journey in to the heart of this unique World Heritage area. This morning you will explore the northern section of the mountains, visiting remote off the beaten track locations. Your final day in Sydney is at your leisure, you may wish to wander through The Rocks and the newly revitalised inner-city suburb of Barangaroo and recreational area of Darling Harbour, or head to Sydney’s eastern beach suburbs of Bondi or Bronte and watch surfers riding the waves. Other interesting neighbourhoods include Paddington with its Victorian terraced houses and boutiques, and Paddington Markets; supporting local and emerging designers.
