I’ve worked in travel for over 30 years, previously as a Superstore Manager at TUI.

My adventures during this time have taken me all over the world. From visiting the hotel Dirty Dancing was filmed at in Virginia, USA, to experiencing a sunrise hot air balloon ride over the Nile, Africa, I have so many unforgettable memories. Flying on the first-ever Dreamliner from the UK was incredibly special while swimming with dolphins in Mauritius and releasing baby turtles back to sea in Mexico were utterly fabulous.

My favourite things to do are visiting brand-new destinations, seeing breathtaking sights, tasting mouth-watering cuisine and learning about different interesting cultures.

Favourite Destination – Mexico

Simply put, Mexico is a wonderful destination! I love the people, the culture and the breathtaking landscapes, from the ancient ruins right down to the dazzling beaches.

Favourite Hotel – Raffles Singapore

Hands down, Raffles Singapore is the best hotel I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at. A true ‘pinch me’ moment and tick on my bucket list. The service was outstanding!

Although I don’t book holidays in my role, I like to think I treat my clients how I would expect to be treated myself. Dealing with different types of people is very rewarding on a daily basis and hearing about their travels and experiences is always fascinating.

Your Top Tips for Travellers

• Be aware of cultural differences when travelling to foreign destinations.
• Take a photo of your passport in case it gets lost; you may need its information.
• Live life to the fullest, “say yes to everything” and escape your comfort zone.
