Accessible only by boat, this really is a secluded, peaceful and utterly tranquil paradise. For even more focused relaxation, guests can visit the resort’s sister property’s Deep Ocean Spa for a choice of hydrotherapy, ancient wellness and seawater-inspired therapies. Within the resort itself there’s a range of activities to wile away your leisurely holiday days with – from kayaking around the lagoon and putting your ping pong skills to the test to Polynesian cooking demonstrations and Wii console games.

Most of the rooms here are overwater, so you can begin each morning with a refreshing dip in the Pacific Ocean – by jumping straight from your own pontoon! For guests who do choose an overwater bungalow, your day begins in style with a fresh breakfast delivered right to your door by canoe. Interiors at the resort are inspired by traditional Polynesian patterns, colours and styles – thatched walls and wooden floors lend an unmistakeable sense of place. Choose to dine in one of the two restaurants, which also offer special themed dinners, or opt for something a little more personal – perhaps a table for two on the beach, or a gourmet meal served in your very own bungalow.

There’s plenty of excellent marine life to be discovered on cruise, diving and snorkelling excursions nearby. Some of the excursions our concierge team can arrange include beach combing on Matira Beach, hikes up Mount Otemanu, helicopter tours of the island, sunset cruises and land safaris.
