Hotel information
The Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North affords guests its own brand of uncompromising luxury, draped in evocative décor that effortlessly complements the dramatic Sonora Desert and Pinnacle Peak, which just happens to be the hotel’s wild backdrop. Here earthy neutral tones throughout the hotel are peppered with bursts of colour, original artworks and fabrics inspired by quintessential Arizona homesteads and landscapes alike, stamping the area’s own unique style on otherwise trendy furnishings and sophisticated Four Seasons accessories. And, amid the fashionable rattan chairs, clever lighting and exposed beams of this rustic-chic estate, there lies plenty of five-star facilities to get excited about. In fact, none more so than at the typically tempting Four Seasons Spa of holistic therapies, massage and body wraps, beauty salon treatments, a sauna and steam room too; it both looks and feels like wellbeing at its best.
The Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North is also known as a bit of a paradise for golf enthusiasts, with the spectacular Troon North Golf Club nearby – widely considered as one of the best in the country and boasting two superb 18-hole courses. So whether you are a seasoned pro, novice or even a family looking for a game together, there really are few better places to play. Yet being far more than simply a mecca for golfers, this family-friendly Arizona hotel also flaunts multiple swimming pools, including one for children, a gym, cocktail classes, beer and wine tasting, designer boutiques onsite and everything you need for all manner of outings, from mountain bikes to 4x4 Jeeps. Then, when it comes to dining at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale, the award-winning Talavera Restaurant is second to none. This high-end steak house enjoys great views across the mountains, particularly at sunset, though there are also poolside options, al fresco terraces, Latin-inspired menus, a swanky lounge bar and in-casita dining if your own private balcony is just too good to resist! Finally, as night does finally draw in, snuggle up for a spot of stargazing courtesy of the hotel’s own observatory, a great end to each Four Seasons Scottsdale day.
Room Options
Cool yet cosy, all casitas and suites at the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale are perfectly tailored to indulgent desert living; they look great, come with a host of unique features and always ensure that those picturesque desert views are never far away. Desert-rustic-chic is one way to describe these super cool abodes, as elements of the great outdoors come in the form of exposed beams, wooden window shutters to protect your French patio doors and decorative fireplaces filled with logs. Yet at the same time, you have contemporary art pieces on the walls, trendy furnishings and lots of amenities throughout, such as thick robes, flat-screen TVs, iDocks, a minibar, coffee machine, Wi-Fi and more. No matter which you choose, one of the real highlights that come with all rooms at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale are their private terraces, patios and firepits that leave you at one with the surrounding desert plains.

Facilities/Amenities
As with any Four Seasons resort, the facilities on offer here are second to none. There are two swimming pools: one freeform with private cabanas and hot tub, and one for the children to splash around in. The hotel also offers a well-equipped gym as well as yoga, tai chi and fitness classes plus two tennis courts, and then the spa. Offering any number of body therapies; a sauna and steam room; signature treatments including a golfer’s massage, gold-infused facials or a jojoba and prickly pear body polish; fun facials, manicures and pedicures for children – this is an afternoon in itself for the whole family! Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North also has two onsite boutiques, mountain bikes for hire, a fleet of Mercedes-Benz cars and plenty more up its sleeve.
Restaurants & Bars
Talavera
This rustic restaurant serves up bold, Spanish dishes that will satisfy anyone with an appetite. The menu will have your mouth watering instantaneously – paella packed with clams, mussels, lobster and prawns; fillet steak smothered in black garlic, manchego cheese and olives; Iberico ham aged for three years, the list goes on. Take your time though, as both the food and the desert views through Talvera’s huge windows deserve full appreciation.
- Dinner
Proof
A casual, all-day eatery, Proof has the air of an upmarket cowboy saloon with wooden floorboards, bar stool seating and whirring ceiling fans. Fill up on all sorts of American-influenced dishes here from the deep south to the coast, but be sure to leave room for dessert as their list of shakes, sundaes and ice creams is truly impressive!

Saguaro Blossom
This al fresco joint is located poolside, a shady spot for a light bite and a refreshing drink. Inventive dishes include ‘Bowl It or Roll It’ – your choice of protein and grains, served in a bowl or tortilla wrap – and ice cream sandwiches.
- Lunch
Onyx Bar & Lounge
Onyx Bar & Lounge is a fun spot with both indoor and al fresco dining areas. Their modest (in size) dinner menu then offers a selection of sharing dishes, gourmet burgers and flatbreads served at the bar.

Activities & Entertainment
Golf is undoubtedly a major draw for many guests at the Four Seasons Scottsdale. Tee off on one of two scenic desert courses at Troon North Golf Club – The Monument or The Pinnacle – each offering their own challenge, but a beautiful setting too. Alternatively, grab a racket and head to the hotel tennis courts for a quick game, private lessons if you wish, before exploring the surrounding desert, taking a nature walk or hitting the shopping arcades and restaurants of nearby Scottsdale or Downtown Phoenix. There are biking and jogging trails here, as well as jeep and horseback tours, wine tasting, cocktail classes and stargazing at night, plus a kids club, games room and activities for little ones if travelling to Arizona with children.
