Situated in Banff National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Fairmont Banff Springs is an iconic and renowned Alberta hotel. 

Open year-round and beautifully surrounded by the mountains, the Fairmont is a fantastic base to explore the spectacular Canadian Rockies.

Welcoming guests for over 125 years, The Fairmont Banff Springs has a selection of well-appointed rooms and suites. Choose from cosy Fairmont Rooms to spacious suites with sweeping Alberta mountain views.

Some of our favourite rooms include the elegantly decorated and ornate Signature Mountain View Room.

The Terrace Suites offer modern décor, a luxurious bedroom and separate grand living area, along with an outdoor terrace with breathtaking Bow Valley views. 

There are plenty of activities both in and around The Fairmont Banff Springs including:

  • bowling,
  • a raft tour,
  • canoeing and kayaking,
  • horse trail rides,
  • fishing and
  • white water rafting.

Enjoy the pools on offer including an indoor, outdoor and kids wading pool, there’s also a kids club for the little ones. Enjoy a heated swim outdoors that is open all year round. The Willow Stream Spa is the perfect place to enjoy treatments in this beautifully decorated spa with waterfalls, whilst the renowned 18 hole Stanley Thompson golf course with fantastic views and the 9 hole Tunnel Mountain course are open from May through to October each year.

For when you're ready to ascend the mountains for your ski adventure on the slopes, the lift to Norquay is situated just 15 minutes away, Sunshine Village lift is 20 minutes away and the life to Lake Louise is 40 minutes away. 

Fairmont Banff Springs offers nine dining options including the 1888 Chop House, the Castello Ristorante serving Italian classics, enjoy alpine cuisine at Waldhaus Restaurant and in the summer months a good old southern BBQ is served at Stanley’s Smokehouse Restaurant which boasts views of the golf course itself and great dining. 

For piste dining, it is only a 15-minute walk to Norquay. Equally, you can take a 20-minute walk to Sunshine Village, for 40 minutes to Lake Louise.

These suites feature an elegantly appointed spacious living room with a double pullout sleeper couch and separate master bedroom with king bed. Rooms on the Fairmont Gold Floor do not have baths.

This opulent and regal accommodation is the ultimate in castle experiences. The Regal Suite is a two bedroom heritage style accommodation with distinctive architectural detail. The master bedroom comes with a king bed whilst the second room has two twin beds, there is also a pullout sleeper couch in the living room.

These homely suites are located in the Stanley Thompson Wing which is connected to the main hotel building and is within easy walking distance of the main facilities. Cozy Fairmont Rooms are ideally suited for individuals or couples and located throughout the resort, with limited views of the hotel grounds and buildings.

Spa

The Willow Stream Spa at Fairmont Banff Springs has been awarded many accolades including Trip Advisors Certificate of Excellence and No.1 Canada Top Hotel Spa by Travel & LeisureWorld's best Awards 2015. The spa covers 3,530 square meters and features 23 treatment rooms, separate men's and women's whirlpools, steam rooms, saunas and eucalyptus inhalation rooms.

Other facilities include an indoor European mineral pool, outdoor whirlpool, 3 waterfall treatment whirlpools and spa terraces. Customised massage experiences, signature treatments, facial and body scrubs and couples packages are all available at the Willow Stream Spa.

Access to the spa facilities, steam rooms and mineral pool are complimentary with the purchase of most spa services, alternatively, you are able to purchase a day pass to use these facilities.

Fairmont Gold is a hotel within a hotel. Fairmont Gold guests will enjoy exclusive benefits such as a private check-in area located on the 4th & 5th floors of the main building, complimentary healthy continental breakfast featuring hot and cold choices and access to the elegant Fairmont Gold Lounge. Throughout the day the lounge serves complimentary tea and coffee along with an honour bar, as well as complimentary canapes served between 17:00 - 19:00 each day.
