Hotel information
For an unforgettable eco-experience, venture away from the tropical beaches and into the rainforest.
Khao Sok National Park boasts the largest area of tropical rainforest in southern Thailand, with jungle-clad peaks, large lakes and an amazing variety of flora and fauna.
A two-hour drive from either Phuket or Krabi airport, it is an easy combination with any of our suggested beach resorts in Krabi, Phuket or Khao Lak.
You’ll find Elephant Hills hidden amidst this awesome natural scenery. Split into two separate camps: the Elephant Hills Camp comprises of 30 simply furnished tents surrounded by jungle; the Rainforest Camp is located on nearby Cheow Larn Lake and features 10 floating tents. This is comfortable camping, with en-suite bathrooms, hot and cold water and electricity powered by solar and wind energy!
Elephant Hills Camp offers the opportunity to get up close to the Asian elephant. You’ll learn about this magnificent animal from their mahouts (elephant trainers), help feed them, and watch them bathe. With animal welfare in mind, you are not able to sit on or trek with the elephants. You can explore the jungle on guided treks and canoe along the Sok River. After spending a night in the Elephant Hills Camp, journey onto the floating Rainforest Camp, where you can swim in the lake and kayak through its channels in search of monkeys and birds.
A night at Elephant Hills just adds to the adventure. Watch the sunset over the jungle from the front of your tent before heading to the restaurant where you can share your day’s experiences with other guests over dinner. The rainforests' inhabitants provide an atmospheric concert as you doze off to sleep.
Elephant Hills Jungle Safari is not suitable for children under the age of 4.
