My travel experiences started early. I was lucky enough to have parents who had their own wanderlust and so I got to experience the world from a young age. I knew this was something I wanted to pursue as a career, and so I began a modern apprenticeship with Thomas Cook at the age of 16 years old. In my years there I worked in many different roles; top sales; a summer overseas in Halkidiki, Greece; World Luxury Travel Consultant; Customer Services Manager; and finally manager of a large store. After watching the BBC documentary, The Millionaires’ Holiday Club and looking into the Inspiring Travel company, I knew this was the job for me. The staff and company are wonderful and get to experience all the top hotels so we have first-hand, expert knowledge.

Favourite places

My two favourite places in the world are South Africa and the Maldives. Both very different; one offers plenty of opportunities to relax in paradise, while the other is all about adventure. Both have a selection of amazing accommodation with excellent service and food. 

Favourite hotel

My favourite hotel is Huvafen Fushi in the Maldives, staying in an Ocean Bungalow with Pool. You're guaranteed sunset views, complete privacy and fantastic service, plus nothing beats having your own pool! Of course, there's also no forgetting the excellent food, the incredible underwater spa and the amazing house reef, where you can feed the sting rays who come to visit every day at around 4pm. You can even swim with the (vegetarian!) sharks.

• Keep a worldwide adapter in your suitcase at all times to avoid bringing the wrong one – you’ll always have it packed!
• Contact your local doctors regarding their travel clinic services for up to date information regarding vaccinations (Don’t leave it last minute)
