I lived in Barcelona for four years where I became immersed in the Catalan culture and traditions and fell head over heels for the Mediterranean lifestyle. I continued exploring the Med on super yachts for the next five years. My journeys covered quaint Italian Amalfi coast villages, French Riviera hotspots, and gentle floats between fjords in the tranquillity of Norway.

Before eventually coming back home, I sailed the Atlantic in search of winter sun and remote beaches and anchorages, set up sunset barbeques for guests, and dived among shipwrecks. Now I’m back in the UK I can share my passion for travel with Private Clients.

Favourite Destination – Spain

I’m a big foodie, so I’m very much led by my tastebuds, and I think Spain has won my heart for this hands down. I simply loved the tapas on the streets of Logroño, and the seafood delicacies of Galicia. There’s nothing more I like to do than sit in a plaza with a plate of Pata Negra and a glass of Rioja watching the world go by.

Your Top Tips for Travellers

• I always carry a power bank. All the essential travel documents are on our phones these days, which makes me paranoid. I like to know I can charge on the move.

• This is a bit old fashioned and perhaps a little cheesy, but I used to send a postcard to myself when moving from place to place. That way I would eventually arrive back in the UK with a bunch of keepsakes and memories of my own.
