I have always known from a young age that I had the travel bug to work in the industry. I find it extremely exciting to visit new destinations and immerse myself in different cultures. After finishing school, I went on to study a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Travel & Tourism at West Cheshire College where I achieved triple distinction star.

Shortly after, I studied at Leeds Beckett University where I gained a First-Class Honours degree in International Tourism Management with a year working in the industry. I felt extremely proud to achieve this as the tourism industry is my passion and I felt this prepared me for my dream job in luxury travel. Working at Inspiring Travel, I strive to ensure that every client has a seamless holiday experience with personal added touches to make their memories even more special.

Favourite destination: Barbados

Barbados is my favourite destination due to its friendly culture of making it feel like a home away from home. With its welcoming locals, beautiful sandy beaches with clear blue waters (and strong rum punch!!) it’s hard not to feel like you belong here. I love experiencing life like a local by visiting Oistins and trying out the freshly caught seafood.  

Favourite hotel: Galley Bay Resort & Spa, Antigua

Galley Bay Resort is a personal favourite of mine because no matter what room you choose, every view is beautiful. Your room may walk right on to the soft sands of the beach and bright blue waters, or it may have its own plunge pool facing on to the peaceful lake. Whatever you choose in this resort, you are guaranteed to feel instantly relaxed.

Favourite tour:  Adventure Antigua - The Xtreme Circumnavigation

Tour of a lifetime! Swimming with stingrays was a standout moment for me on this tour! This tour contains a three-hour speed boat tour around the island of Antigua learning exciting facts and the history of the island with the guides making this the most fun and interactive tour possible. It’s amazing to explore the beautiful sites in such an extreme way and you might even spot a few turtles! Snorkelling is also included which is an incredible experience to see all the reef. For lunch, a scenic beach picnic is also provided.

Top Tips for Travellers:

Wake up early to avoid the crowds. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, more opportunity to interact with the locals and if you rise before sunrise, you can enjoy the best attractions to yourself. It’s also a perfect time to catch photos due to the soft light.

Break out of your comfort zone. Try to challenge yourself if you have a one-off opportunity for something you wouldn’t usually do. For example, I am not a strong swimmer but whilst in the Caribbean, I took the opportunity to go snorkelling and it was one of the most fun activities I have ever done getting to explore all the sea life. Travelling is already so different so what’s one more new experience?
