Hotel information
A superb luxury base for exploring the city, this sleek hotel set in the former Sugar Palace on Senovážné Square puts you right in the heart of Prague in style.
Whether you’re in the Czech capital to visit its famous Christmas markets, to experience a theatre, opera or ballet performance, or simply to discover one of Europe’s finest cultural city breaks, this lifestyle hotel from World of Hyatt is a discerning choice.
The location of the Andaz hotel places you just 15 minutes’ walk from major Prague attractions including: the Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square, Charles Bridge, Prague Astronomical Clock and The Powder Tower. The city’s museums are in touching distance too; the Mucha Museum, National Museum, Museum of Communism and the House at the Black Madonna to name a few.
Andaz’s culinary offering is one of the city’s finest, with the Sunday Brunch not to be missed – an experience that is festively enhanced over Christmas. Signature restaurant ZEM is an “avant-garde Czech bistro”, featuring national favourites like chestnut soup and beef tartare, alongside Japanese izakaya dishes such as gyoza. All guests have a complimentary (non-alcoholic) mini-bar that includes snacks and drinks in their room.
And speaking of which, the chic accommodation offers spacious rooms and suites for couples, with elegant details and inspiring views. Interconnecting rooms and larger suites make space for families, with twin rooms available for friends. The hotel’s spa offers a welcome retreat after a day of sightseeing, before you head back to your room to get ready for cocktails in trendy MEZ bar.
All-in-all, a dreamy backdrop for a luxury city break in Prague.

Restaurants & Bars
From starting the day with waffles for breakfast, to experiencing one of the city's best Sunday brunches; dinner at trendy ZEM restaurant with its celebration of contemporary Czech dishes, to drinks at the hotel's trendy cocktail bar... Andaz Prague has plenty to recommend it for a gastronomic break in the capital.
ZEM Restaurant
The hotel’s signature restaurant is really quite unique, drawing guests to the hotel looking for a gastronomic getaway in Prague. Designed in the style of a traditional coffee house, the dishes served from the theatrical kitchen stage use Czech produce and timeless favourites alongside tasty bites that you’d expect to see in a Japanese izakaya. Think strudels and schnitzels alongside gyoza and yakitori, accompanied by Czech wines and saké.
Breakfast
The breakfast served at the “Sugar Palace” for guests of the hotel will set you up beautifully for a day exploring the city. Healthy options include smoothies, yoghurts and granola, a Power Bowl and a Garden Breakfast. Or you can indulge with a flat white, waffles and French toast, and a scrumptious Meat Lover’s Breakfast.
MEZ Bar
Headed up by an expert team of mixologists, the hotel’s in-house cocktail bar is a trendy spot to grab a drink or two. The funky drinks menu is vast, and if you want a quick bite to eat there is a small menu of little dishes like gyoza and fried chicken, as well as heartier burgers and salads.
Sunday Brunch
The a la carte Sunday brunch menu is renowned as being one of the best places for brunch in Prague. Think pancakes, breakfast burgers and eggs Benedict, served with complementing cocktails.
Room Service
It would be totally understandable for you to not want to leave your room or suite at the Andaz, which is where the room service menu comes into its own. Have breakfast in bed with a plate of Czech Benedict, grab a bowl of delicious chestnut soup for a quick lunch, or give the kids their dinner before bed with the excellent children’s menu of kid-friendly favourites.
Activities & Entertainment
Sightseeing in Prague
You won’t need to go far from your hotel to see many of the city’s best visitor attractions. On the doorstep of Andaz Prague are Wenceslas Square, the Opera House and the Old Town’s Havel Market. A short stroll and you can be at the National Theatre, and one of Prague’s most photographed tourist spots, the Charles Bridge which goes over the Vltava River. Then less than 1.5 miles away you can walk through history at the iconic Prague Castle, also home to the St Vitus Cathedral with its impressive Golden Gates.
Christmas in Prague
Little wonder that the Czech Republic’s capital is one of Europe’s best cities for a Christmassy weekend, given the markets which bring the squares alive with the scent of cinnamon and grog, and the likelihood of snow turning the city into a white, wintry wonderland.
At the hotel you can enjoy special menus with a Christmas Brunch or five-course Christmas Lunch, or upgrade your room to the Christmas Suite where you’ll be able to sit by the fire with your own Christmas tree!
Spa & Fitness
The hotel’s Femme Spa Next Level has a Finnish sauna, steam bath and treatment rooms, and uses the latest technology to offer a menu of cutting-edge treatments to enhance wellbeing. Alongside is the Fitness Centre, which is open to guests 24-hours a day and boasts state-of-the-art equipment.
